The unit initally worked from Hastings to Folkestone East (via Tonbridge). It was planned to take the unit to Dover but restrictions on non corridor stock through Shakespere Tunnel prevented this from happening. More runs were made in the afternoon and evening from Hastings to Redhill via Tonbridge and Hastings to Eastbourne.
